I'd never outlaw guns enrteily, but I definitely feel that the rules for carrying firearms should be incredibly strict. All these recent shootings are the product of a nation of people armed to the teeth. I think its a bit crazy that you'd want to take it even further. Say a dozen other people had guns in the theatre when the incident happened, how would they know who shot first? Also, there's a 99% chance that one of the people with a gun would miss and hit an innocent bystander, adding to the devistation the main shooter has also caused. You can't [censurado]ume just because you give someone a gun, that evens the playing field and makes eveyone around them safer. You're so much more likely to use a gun on a friend or family member than you are against an actual threat. It's insane that almost anyone can buy a firearm, without a psychiatric background check. Any crazed man can just walk up to the counter and say I'll have that and leave the store with a product whose sole purpose is to be used for killing. So while shouldn't outlaw guns enrteily, we must have strict regulations on the purchase of them. |
