Akumal y su viento solar

La
banda salvadoreña akumal presento este 26 julio su tercer sencillo
llamado “viento solar” el cual es inspirada de ver un programa de
television, donde hablaban sobre el Universo “ me pareció un muy
buen tema para una canción y me puse a trabajar la rola” menciono
Melvin Hernández vocalista del grupo. Para saber mas de este grupo
entrevistamos a 2 integrantes y esto nos respondieron.
¿Como nace el nuevo tema viento solar?
Melvin: "Viento solar",es una canción de 2008, básicamente fue una canción que escribí, después de ver un programa en el History Chanel sobre el Universo, hablaban sobre el "viento solar" y eso me pareció un muy buen tema para una canción y me puse a trabajar la rola.
¿De que habla la canción viento solar?
Melvin: La canción es una canción "de amor" muy a nuestro estilo, líricamente lleva un lenguaje muy "galáctico”,muy espacial... A mi siempre me ha fascinado el universo,las galaxias,los planetas; entonces usamos todo eso para la letra apoyado con imágenes de cine de ciencia-ficción de los 50's-60's,el futurismo, pero en pocas palabras es una "canción de amor alienígena"
¿Que los inspira a tocar esta música? (genero)
Melvin: Nos inspira el hecho de que a lo único que estamos atados es a la Libertad creativa... Por decir algo hoy estamos tocando "electro rock" con viento solar mañana podemos estar tocando algo con percusiones africanas. Dejamos que sea la música la que nos toque y no nosotros a ella.
Erick: Viene de muchas partes, puede ser querer transmitir un sentimiento, retomar una idea que nos gusta o simplemente el hecho de tocar y esperar que algo suceda, no nos sentimos atados a un genero ya que siempre que hay una buena idea musical dentro del grupo la adoptamos sin importar a que suene.
¿Como han hecho para mantenerse como grupo tomando en cuenta que ya tienen mucho de haber formado el grupo?
Melvin: A lo contrario como dice Juan Gabriel que "la costumbre es mas fuerte que el amor"... En Akumal el amor ha sido mas fuerte que la costumbre,nos ha ayudado el hecho de que antes de ser compañeros de grupo,somos amigos.
Erick: Creo que las 2 cosas mas importantes que nos han mantenido junto son el hecho que somos muy buenos amigos y el hecho que compartimos gustos e ideas muy afines,lo cual hace que sea fácil trabajar entre nosotros y nos entendamos sin mayor esfuerzo.
¿Cuales son sus propósitos como banda, adonde quieren llegar?
Melvin: Queremos llevar nuestra música lo mas lejos posible,que llegue a la mayor cantidad de gente, y seguir haciendo música, grabando discos,haciendo toques, lo usual.
Erick: Actualmente nuestras metas a corto plazo son seguir extiendonos en Latinoamérica, estamos dando los primeros pasos en México y ya hemos tenido acercamiento con otros países... Luego de eso la idea es seguir avanzando sin detenernos hasta donde la vida nos lo permita.
¿Cuales son sus próximos eventos, tienen un lugar estable donde tocan?
Melvin: Por lo pronto estamos en la "preproducción" del tercer disco, estamos en la etapa de composición de canciones..
Erick: Ahorita las
presentaciones en vivo están en "pausa" por razón de
estar trabajando en el 3er disco, pero recién estrenamos el 3er
sencillo "Viento Solar" de nuestro disco Sivar. esta
sonando en la radio y tenemos un video en YouTube

¿Cuales han siso sus logros como banda?
Melvin: Estar aquí en Julio de 2012 casi 8 años después, planeando el tercer disco, con las mismas ganas que el primer día, para Mi ese es el mayor logro...
Erick: Como bien dice Melvin es un gran logro estar juntos después de tanto... Pero también te podría mencionar el haber tenido los primeros 2 sencillos (London Tea y Xendra) de nuestro disco .Sivar en los primeros lugares de la radio, siendo las únicas canciones en español y las únicas Salvadoreñas, haber sido seleccionados entre todos los grupos salvadoreños para salir en una revista (Zona De Obras) que se publica en México, España y Suramérica. Además saber que hay personas que aprecian nuestra música en México, Honduras, Costa Rica, España y lugares que jamás habíamos pensado llegar,nos alegra muchísimo.
